With tons of shows getting pushed back till god knows when its only a matter of time before you run out of new animes to watch. Well, that is of course if you binge-watch series. Eventually, that nostalgia train may creep its way into your current lineup and before you know it you’re looking to revisit a few series. Despite the fact that there are many animes to choose from, I wouldn’t say they are all rewatchable and many are just better as memories. Others, are complete legends and will never be forgotten by the passage of time. Let’s check out 5 rewatchable and cosplayable animes.
Gurren Lagann

Being only 27 episodes long, Gurren Lagann should be at the top of your rewatchable anime list. This series had everything that an anime lover could want. Love, battles, loss and of course mechs were all present throughout Gurren Lagann. The artwork was rather unique along with the character development. Despite the fact that Kamina was only present for a few episodes, he had a huge impact on not only the story but also watchers seeking to cosplay from the series. I usually see more Kaminas and Yoko combos than Simon cosplays. This is shocking considering that Simon was the main character of the series and actually found the Drill Necklace. No matter if your new or old to Gurenn Lagann you are sure to fall in love with the series again and of course burst into tears on episode 8.
Sword Art Online

This series has gone in several directions following its conclusion in 2014 with the most recent season being Alicization. To be honest, I only liked the original but felt obligated to watch the following series hoping to regain that initial feeling. After watching a few clips from the original, I noticed there were a ton of things that initially went over my head. This series was a lot deeper than I originally believed. Most of us play video games and I’m sure we have all had thoughts of what life would be like if we were trapped inside one of our favorite games. Sword art online gave us a small glimpse into what this life would be like and made the experience even more real by providing real-world consequences. Definitely a rewatchable anime to check out.
Trigun
Long gone are the days of Vash The Stampede and Wolfwoods galivanting around at conventions but as we know everything repeats. It’s only a matter of time until this amazing anime makes a comeback. At the time there were nowhere near as many animes readily available as current-day thus making the animes that more authentic. Several of the concepts were completely new as we had never seen anything like it. The western-style theme somehow seamlessly blended both old and advanced ideas into a simple and comical story. Vash was an advanced plant-like humanoid protagonist and watching him square off with his twin brother Knives will forever remain etched into my memory. With all of this time on our hands from the quarantine its time to refresh the memory bank. There are only 26 episodes to this series meaning you should have no trouble finishing it in one day.
Hajime No Ippo

Ranked in my top 3 anime, Hajime No Ippo was overlooked by many for some reason. Maybe it was the boxing theme or goofy characters that turned off others but trust me, this anime is a must-watch. Being a bit more lengthy than the previous mentions, each episode was a delight to watch. Seeing Ippo and Takamura face challenge after challenge head on was breathtaking. And did I mention the artwork and colors used to emphasize each movement! This series made punches such as the jab and uppercuts seem like feats only usable by the greats. They broke down the mechanics behind all forms of boxing and had the viewers ready to start their own boxing career following each episode’s conclusion. Please help give this anime the fame it deserves as I never see Hajime No Ippo cosplays at conventions and have yet to see a Takamura Mamoru.
Full Metal Alchemist

Last but certainly not least we have Full Metal Alchemist. This series comes in two flavors with Brotherhood being the more recent. I must also mention that brotherhood was a bit longer and extended the series by about 13 episodes. The main difference is that brotherhood is more in line with the manga compared to the original full metal alchemist. Either way, it’s always pleasant to head back and watch the Elric Brothers destroy there opponents along with seeking redemption on their journey for the philosophers stone. It would also be nice to get some of you caught up as to why Shou Tucker is the most hated man in the anime world.

If you have time try to give all of these series a watch once more as you will remember why you fell in love with them in the first place. If you have never seen them, you are in for a treat that will likely spark an old school anime curiosity phase. Thanks so much for checking out my article and I hope you enjoyed it.
