Bathsheba Beach

Hows Everyone doing? Well I finally took some time and made it out to one of the many beaches Barbados has to offer.

I have had my eyes on this beach ever since I learned of its existence via IG.

Something about the large rock formations was appealing to me and I couldn’t help but be drawn to this place.

After finishing my exam I decided to go ahead and make the journey to the other side of the island.

If these images appeal to curiosity make sure you head to the beach yourself, please please please do not take a private taxi there.

They are extremely expensive and public transportation is much cheaper. Only 8 dollars Beijian or 4 dollars U.S.

Simply head to the main bus terminal downtown and catch the bus labeled “BATHSHEBA”. Its really that simple.

You may be wondering which stop to get off at, well that’s also simple. Get off when you see the beach lol.

Now back to the images, as you can see the most appealing aspect of this beach where the large rock formations scattered along the cost. Each of these formations consist of unique shapes which have formed over generations.

If your feeling adventurous, you can also climb these formations for both a better view and the ultimate selfie. Unfortunately, I was unable to climb them as the tide was too high. This brings me to my second point which is if you’re a suffer you’re in for a treat.

Bathsheba beach is one of the top places on the island to surf. There were tons of people in the water constantly catching the large waves rolling into shore.

Another main attraction of this beach is the random house built along the coast. I have no idea where it came from or what it was built for, but tons of tourists where checking it out. A picture of it can be seen here.

Interestingly enough, there was a bar up the street which had images of the beach stretching back to the early 1900s.  It was fascinating to see how much the beach had progressed from that time period. If you have time definitely check it out.

Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the bar but there are approximately 4 bars along the path so your bound to stumble in.

If you would like an aerial view of the beach make sure you check out my drone footage of the coast, it won’t disappoint!

Well that’s it for today, kind of a break from the normal post but I hope you enjoyed it. If you end up visiting this beach let me know in the comments section below.

I would love to hear about your experience at this amazing beach. Until next time, stay BOUNDLESS!!!!
