Best Anime On Netflix

Best-anime-Netflix

With the plethora of anime available on the web, it’s becoming extremely difficult to choose quality anime along with which sites to watch them on. I mean you can choose between tons of streaming services ranging from Crunchy Roll to Funimation. While each of these subscription services has there pros and cons, I want to focus on one that I’m sure nearly all of us have access to. That’s right, the subscription service that has never let us down and has become the title of the popular “____ and chill” saying. Oh, yea you know which service I m referencing, good old Netflix. So today lets dive into the best anime on Netflix to watch.

Cannon Busters

If you are into fugitives, robots and swordsman then Cannon Busters is right up your alley. The series takes place in the fictional world of Gearbolt and focuses on 4 or so characters that are each unique. Philly the kid, S.A.M and Casey Turnbuckle each have their own agenda in the series but as a group represents a lot more than their individual parts. Like most series these days, it seems you will absolutely love or hate it so check it out if you’re in an anime slump or want to find something a bit different from the rest.

Baki

This is one of the most violent series I have ever seen. It focuses on the world of martial arts and explores a wide range of styles. Everything from boxing to kungfu is explored with each character capable of feats well beyond normal human limitations. The main character is Baki and unlike other series, he is strong but not completely overpowered. Several characters throughout the series are much stronger than him with his father Yujiro Hanma being the most notable. Baki definitely has some deep-rooted father issues and is constantly striving to be much stronger than him. This is only a small piece of this immersive anime so definitely give it a watch. Its surely one of the Best anime on Netflix.

God Eater

I’m really not sure why this series did not take off more but I guess it simply doesn’t suit everyone. I have watched several Netflix anime and for sure consider this one of the top 3 series on Netflix. The story focuses on characters called god eaters which wield unique weapons that allow them to combat Aragami. Like most stories, these monsters are impervious to regular weapons meaning God Arcs are the only way to dispatch of them. There are a few generations of God Eaters with each improving upon the last. Everything in this series just works! The weapons, characters, and monsters seamlessly flow throughout each episode and I’m praying that it eventually gets another season.

Kuromukuro

This was a very strange series but I can’t put my finger on why. Earth is invaded by a force known as the Efi Dorg. They wield giant mechs that the people of Japan name Onis. With no natural ways of fighting back against this invading force, one of the main characters Kennosuke Tokisada steals an Oni nicknamed the black relic and begins fighting back. The series then jumps to the future where the Elfi Dorg again begin to invade. Kennosuke Tokisada is awoken from his cryosleep and must once again fight the Efi Dorg. Although this series did not make it to my top 3 best Netflix anime list, it’s worth a watch as you may just enjoy it more than me.

Angel Beats

Another interesting concept, Angel Beats is a series that focuses on a strange life after death. Normally we assume we head to some higher beyond or we are reincarnated. With angel beats, you first head to a sort of limbo area where you must first overcome hardships and trials before you can pass on. Shockingly the main antagonist of this series is well an AngelShe’s the student council president and is assumed to be God’s associate. The students question if god is even real since none of them have ever seen him. This series is sure to astound question and even shake some of your beliefs. Definitely one of the best Netflix animes.

Cells At Work

Ok, so if you are in the business of becoming a doctor or if you’re just curious about the human body then you will certainly want to check out Cells at workThis series focuses on the processes that occur in the human body and more importantly how it attacks foreign agents. Everything from blood cells to natural killer cells are represented in this anime and their roles are rather accurate. I have never personally seen a series quite like this one and they bring foreign and common anime elements together really well. It started off a bit slow for me but if you stick with it I’m sure you will grow to love it.

Knights Of Sidonia

Knights of Sidonia takes place in a much distant future and revolves around a very common theory of humans trying to reach a new home. A race called the Gauna (Not sure how to pronounce that) destroyed earth and surprise, left mankind without a home. Although the story is a familiar one its told in a very unique way.  The way the crew handles problems and mankind adapts to face challenges and dangers is very unique. For example, mankind has learned to photosynthesize to counteract its food problem. They also use strange weapons to fight the Gauna. This show has multiple seasons so you are sure to get your fix one way or the other.

Kakegurui Season

Netflix has several other amazing series but I personally really enjoyed these few. I know there are several other more popular series on Netflix but why not check out some of the smaller franchises?
