Cosplay Photoshoot

Whats going on Everyone? Well we are halfway through the week and what better way to get through these last few days than with a new set of cosplay images from a recent cosplay photoshoot.

As a cosplay photography we are constantly forced to not only think on the fly but create unique images from cosplayers you do not normally see combined.

Sometimes you give it your all but the results are not exactly what you had hoped to achieve. FORTUNATELY, this was NOT one of those times.

At Queen City Anime Convention I had the pleasure of working with two cosplayers cosplaying very different characters but willing to do a combined shoot. For this shoot we had a poison ivy from batman along with a weary sailor mesmerized by her beauty.

This duo made for a very unique shoot that brought out the bests in my photography abilities. With a few pauses to get the creative thoughts flowing, we were able to come up with the following images. Lets see how it went!

The overall theme steered towards getting the sailor to fall prey to Iveys temptations. Clearly the sailor was extremely nervous about everything this mysterious woman had to offer but he couldn’t quell his inner desires. Obviously Ivy was not helping by constantly appealing to his lustrous wishes. As the shoot proceeds you can see the sailor eventually giving in.

Upon finally receiving his prize, he eagerly extinguishes his thirst but may have received more than he bargained for. Did he choose the right vile, or did he meet the same fate as so many before him? Such questions are left to the viewers imagination and discretion. I absolutely loved this shoot and the background made for a perfect backdrop to add the missing element to this shoot.

This shoot was very unique and took some out of the box thinking but thats what made it so memorable. I would love to attempt more shoots like this in the future but with a bit more control on the location and a few other aspects of the shoot.
