I don’t know about you guys but I have been feeling a bit burnt out lately. Everything from blogging to YouTube and interviews has me wanting to take a break and be a bit lazy. This got me thinking, hmmm what characters align with my inner feeling of laziness. After doing a bit of research I decided I wanted to look into some of the laziest characters in the anime universe. I had no idea there were so many with a lot being complete strangers to me. So, let’s go on this journey together and check out which lazy anime characters are worthy to cosplay as.
Kiyotaka Ayanokōji
So first up on my list of lazy anime characters to cosplay as we have Kiyotaka Ayanokōji. This list is not in any particular order but due to his eventual desire to do more than the minimum he isn’t my favorite cosplayer on the list. Kiyotaka Ayanokōji is from the series classroom of the elite. This series focuses on students that are rich and extremely smart. Well Kiyotaka Ayanokōji is extremely smart so of course, he gets into this school but effort is not really his thing. He always makes sure he does just enough to get by. That’s really a motto I try to live by and only change it when absolutely necessary.
Ikta Solork
Another character I was not familiar with, Ikta Solork is from the series alderamin on the sky. This series is right up my alley as it focuses on war and violent series are my thing. In particular, Ikta Solork is so lazy he is known as “The Invincible Lazy General”. But, like so many other characters on the list, he was fortunate enough to be born an absolute genius. So, when it comes to things like fighting, he’s damn near unstoppable and hates other attractive men as they have the potential to take beautiful women away from him. Anyone known as “The Invincible Lazy General” is definitely a character worthy of cosplaying
Shikamaru Nara
Probably one of the most famous characters on the list, Shikamaru Nara is the genius behind all of the impressive military strategies the hidden leaf village implements. Anyone that has seen this series knows just how lazy this character can be and that he will always do the absolute minimum. But, everything seems to have worked out for him in the end so this should be a sign that being lazy is ok. If anime has taught us anything its that hard work and dedication pay of sometimes but being lazy and skipping school always seems to pay off.
Gintoki Sakata
Gintoki Sakata should resonate with lazy cosplayers as he is one well lazy, and two enjoys reading shounen jump. I know I’m definitely a fan of putting off several of my responsibilities in favor of reading manga or simply watching anime. Gintoki Sakata is almost always late on his rent also. Being late with regards to bills is something I’m sure nearly all of us can relate to. Finally, he prefers to make irresponsible decisions with the money he does have like blowing it on pachinko. He definitely enjoys his life and is a go with the flow individual. Who couldn’t relate and admire this lifestyle?
Shota Aizawa
Another character that has risen to fame as a result of his lack of effort, Shota Aizawa is commonly seen encapsulated in a sleeping bag while he is teaching his lesson. Similar to many of the other characters on the list, he may be lazy but always rises to the occasion as soon as action begins. Something very unique about this teacher is that all though he does not like to teach or do work, he is very strict and will threaten to expel students for the smallest mishaps. Obviously he really cares deep down inside; he just doesn’t want to show it or get others to think he is available to their every beckoning call.
Shunsui Kyōraku
As always I have to find a way to throw a bit of nostalgia into each post and here is this posts nostalgic mention. Shunsui Kyōraku is from the series bleach which was popular o so many years ago. He is the extremely lazy captain of the 1st division and is definitely a force to be reckoned with once he’s committed. The only problem is, it takes him a while to get to this point. Ther are several situations that could have been ended immediately had he taken them series from the beginning. But everything always gets done due to his trusty assistance so I guess all’s okay that ends okay.
Kuro
Kuro is from the series servamp and like the title indicates he’s a vampire. Usually, we think of vampires as blood-sucking creatures that walk the night searching for their next target. Kuro is the exact opposite. He’s extremely lazy and wants to do nothing more than sleep and lounge around in his coffin. Even getting Kuro to eat takes effort. They do state that he is one of the oldest vampires so maybe he has experienced everything life has to offer. But none the less he literally goes out of his way to remain in his vegetative effortless form.
One Punch Man

Finally we have One Punch man. Most of us have seen this series and no he strives to do nothing more than save money. Everything is a drag for this character because he’s ultimately to strong. I wish this was a problem I had where I feared and worried about nothing because I knew I was too strong to be affected by anything. But one theme we have seen when it comes to lazy anime characters is that they always step up when push comes to shove. One Punch Man is no exception and has so far saved the earth from imminent destruction twice.
There are several other lazy characters that could easily make the list but I chose a few of my personal favorites. Feel free to let me know some other characters you would have liked to see in the comment section below. I also hope some of these characters resonate with you as I feel Rona has made us all a bit lazy. Thanks so much again for checking out my blog. For more awesome cosplay news feel free to click HERE!
