The world of cosplay can seem a bit complex at first glance. Cosplaying is a very time consuming and expensive hobby/profession, so it can be very hard to perfectly nail your cosplay. There are many unique characters in the anime realm, and some of them are almost close to impossible to cosplay as.
Today, I am going to give you guys a list of the top 10 anime characters that are very easy and fun to cosplay as. You don’t need to have any special experience as a cosplayer for these amazing characters.
L (Death Note)
L is a main character in the Death Note series who is loved by fans all over the world. This guy is an absolute genius as he is able to solve any kind of mystery with extreme ease. While he does look like a pretty laidback person from afar, L works very hard to make sure that justice is served. L should be the first choice for every beginner cosplayer as his cosplay only consists of a white shirt and blue jeans. All you have to do is buy yourself a wig, and you are all set for the next big cosplay event in your area!
Yato (Noragami)
Yato is one of the most adorable anime protagonists in the entire world. This guy is overly cute and badass at the same time! Yato is actually a delivery God, and his ultimate dream is to obtain millions of worshippers one day. Currently, this God can be seen going around the town doing different odd jobs for a yen each. Yato wears a navy colored tracksuit, a pair of leather boots, and a white scarf around his neck. Yato is a pretty easy character for beginner cosplayers because his hairstyle and clothing are very simplistic.
Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)
Izuku Midoriya is the protagonist of a modern shounen anime, and this boy has nerves of steel. Heis someone who never gives up and always keeps on moving forward, no matter the odds. Izuku is a short boy, and he wears a very attractive green-themed hero outfit. This boy is a pretty good choice for beginner cosplayers because all you have to do is purchase the costume itself. If you have curly hair, then you won’t even need to buy a wig for yourself.
Ochako Uraraka (My Hero Academia)
Ochako Uraraka is the cutest little hero from the My Hero Academia universe, who is always there to protect innocent lives. She has a unique ability that lets her remove the effects of gravity on different things. Just like the previous entry on my list, you will have to purchase the cosplay outfit of this girl. However, anyone can easily pull off Ochako’s look with a little bit of effort.
Umaru Doma (Himouto! Umaru-Chan)
Okay, this is literally one of the easiest cosplay ideas in the entire world! Umaru is a bright young girl who is like an idol at her school. Everyone respects this girl because of her manners and charisma. However, once Umaru gets home, she becomes a totally different person! This girl just stays in her bed all day and chugs down a lot of coke. Umaru literally just wears a plain white shirt with pink pants. On top of her plain outfit, Umaru wears an orange hamster hoodie (you can simply use an orange blanket instead.)
Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
Monkey D. Luffy is one of the most well-known shounen protagonists in the entire world and also, the easiest to cosplay! This determined young boy just wears a red vest, blue shorts, and of course, his straw hat. You can get your hands on all three of these items without spending much money. While the outfit of Monkey D. Luffy is pretty easy to recreate, some newbies will still find themselves struggling with this cosplay. This is because you will also need a thin and muscular body in order to become the straw hat pirate.
Yumeko Jabami (Kakegurui)
Yumeko Jabami is the psychotic protagonist of her series, who is a gambling expert. This girl seems pretty average from afar, but she becomes a totally different person when she is gambling against an opponent. Yumeko’s cosplay is pretty easy for beginner cosplayers as she just wears her normal uniform. Yumeko has a pretty realistic hairstyle, which can be easily recreated.
Haikyuu Characters
Cosplays of the main character in Haikyuu are the easiest to pull off for all the beginners. Not only are these cosplays pretty affordable as you just need a sports uniform, but you won’t even need a wig either unless you are going for a specific character in the series. All the characters in other sports anime are also pretty easy to cosplay as they are usually just wearing their uniforms.
Rin Tohsaka (Fate/Stay Night)
Rin Tohsaka is one of the main heroines in the Fate series, and this girl is loved by many fans because of her good looks and charm. This resourceful girl is admired by everyone around her because of her amazing personality. While Rin can seem a bit rude at first, she is a very good person at heart, who cares for all the people around her. Rin is a pretty easy character to cosplay as her normal outfit just consists of a red sweater with a cross and a skirt. Even if you decide to recreate her outfit yourself, you will still need to purchase a wig to complete your final look.
Angelo Legusa (91 Days)
Angelo Legusa is a very useful and perceptive young boy with a somewhat cold personality. This guy used to be a very sweet little kid, but some tragic events in his life completely changed his personality. Angelo can be cosplayed by any beginner cosplayer quite easily because of his normal dressing and hairstyle. You can recreate his complete look without needing to purchase any kind of expensive outfit or wig.
