That time of the year is almost upon us again. The time when spirits, witches, and ghosts allegedly make their appearance in the land of the living. But, if you do not believe in all of this or buy into it, then its simply a time when you get to flaunt your best outfits with your friends. That’s right, I’m talking about Halloween. This is the one day of the year that most people join in our cosplay lifestyle and we can all party together. But, before this day arrives you need to make sure you have adequately prepared. And by that, I mean having you’re best cosplay costume ready to go. So today lets check out 10 Halloween costumes that are sure to make this Halloween memorable.

Second, not everyone is extremely artistic and crafty and as such may require the services of others to make there Halloween plans come true. Pennywise
First up we have the clown that sparked an entire category of fears. I’m not sure but I feel Coulrophobia was not a thing until the invention of Pennywise. As most of us know, this clown preys on children using several powers ranging from shapeshifting to reality manipulation. On the bright side, he only appears every 27 years meaning if you are born right after he has made an appearance you have nothing to fear. Joker
I feel every year there’s a new Joker to cosplay as and this one is no different. Previously it was Suicide Squads joker and before that the Joker from the Dark Knight. This year, we have Joaquin Phoenixes Joker. Regardless of how you felt about the movie, this Halloween costume is sure to be a hit as the Joker outfit is both highly recognizable and a bit nostalgic. People from nearly every generation can identify this character meaning you won’t have to do much explaining during the costume contest. His makeup tutorial can be found HERE!
Corpse Bride
Several women dream of being a bride one day. Walking down the aisle and greeting one’s other half is a dream that has been instilled in many of us since birth. But, Tim Burton decided to go ahead and put a nice twist on this fantasy. Instead of meeting your significant other in their “in life form” you will instead be marrying the “in death” portion of them. This movie came out in 2005 and was an absolute hit. I have seen this Halloween Costume shown every year and never get tired of it. If you choose this costume just know you are making a great choice and don’t worry, here’s a simple tutorial on how to do the makeup.
Sally
Since we have entered the realm of Tim Burton its only fair that I also mention another of his amazing characters. Sally is from the nightmare before Christmas which in my opinion was actually better than corpse bride. But if you prefer the later no worries, to each their own. This Halloween Costume is simply a work of art as its many different fabrics stitched together. This matches the character as Sally is also stitched together. Hazel and Chacha
So I haven’t watched the second season of the Umbrella Academy but the first was amazing. Two characters that I absolutely loved were Hazel and Chacha. They were constantly saying screw the rules I do as I please and I loved it. One amazing aspect of this Halloween Costume is that you do not have to spend a lot of money to bring it to fruition. Most of us already own a suit meaning the only extra accessory you would need is the mask and the gun. Even better, you can cosplay as this awesome couple with your bestie or significant other. No makeup needed thus decreasing the time you need to get ready for that Halloween party! It’s a Win-Win.
Bayonetta
When it comes to sexy dark witches there are only two that should be considered. One is Lulu from final fantasy X and the second is Bayonetta. Ever since her debut, Bayonetta has not only been an absolute badass but an incredibly gorgeous witch that doesn’t even need magic to bring you to your knees. Even if you do not win any Halloween Costume contests you will certainly turn heads. If you’re feeling really ambitious, go ahead and match her with her trusty pistols Scarborough fair or love is blue.
Mad Moxxi
I have written about this character several times but I don’t care, I LOVE Mad Moxxi! Everything about this Halloween Costume just works and I will go out of my way to take pictures of her at a convention. If you are going to cosplay as a character from the series then please choose this one. This character thoroughly enjoys violence and combat. Despite her current role, she was previously a very experienced and capable fighter. My favorite aspect of this costume is the hat. It reminds me of Caitlyn’s hat from league of legends. Feel free to snag this costume for any upcoming conventions. And definitely check out a few YouTube tutorials for the makeup, I’m sure they will be helpful.
Toph Beifong
Kiki
With avatar the Last Airbender making its return to Netflix, there are sure to be some avatar cosplays for Halloween this year. Toph Beifong is the badass earth bender that actually invented metal bending. She is completely fearless and was my favorite character in the series. SPOILER ALERT, she even makes her return in the Legend of Korra. Despite the fact that several years had passed and countless others had begun practicing metal bending, she was still the best by far. She even embarrassed the avatar in a duel meaning she still has it.
If scary and horrifying is not your thing, then look no further than Kiki from Kikis delivery service. As I have mentioned before, I always have to find a way to throw the classics into each post and since this cosplay was released in 1989, It certainly qualifies. She’s a sweet girl who actually decides to use her flying abilities to earn a living. This classic film was produced by the legendary Studio Ghibli team meaning you know it’s going to be good. Trust me, if you enjoyed their other films you will certainly like this one and definitely want to cosplay as this character.
Klaus
Last but not least we have Klaus from the umbrella academy. This character was the epitome of the YOLO lifestyle. Like many of us, he was constantly running from his fears or “powers”. Instead of embracing and developing them, he instead wished them away with drugs. But then again, I can’t really blame the guy as talking to the dead wouldn’t exactly be in my top 3 list for powers. Maybe flight or super intellect would have been a better gift but hey, you play the hand you’re dealt.
